A Sophisticated Drink
It stood there on the table a litre bottle of martini stuff
made in a factory in Milan and has nothing to do with
proper wine. The workers are basely underpaid, when
they ask a rise the get served martini for breakfast-.
Or perhaps I´m wrong and it is in South Africa where
sober wine workers get fired because they are unionised
and do ask for a better wage. Martini is a cheap product
that has been given a great write up, a liquid of alcohol,
water and some good smelling herbs.
The mystery is not solved who had put the...

“Dressed in Disguise” Written by: Jimmy N. Alvarez
I can’t wait to meet you
You’re one of a kind
Your special presence comes with a price to pay
Especially for me I’m the world’s biggest underdog
Chasing the world’s biggest trophy
The odds to have you are one in a billion
People say I’m crazy, for chasing the impossible
But crazy is what it takes to get you
You’re intrigued by my ways that only a real man can provide
I’m special kinda of guy, that’s made for only a chosen few
You waved to me from a far view, on the other side
...

A limerick 'bout Jim
Entered in The first trophy comp ")
Jim Croce was a soulful man
his words could turn a white girl tan!
he sang songs from his heart
time in a bottle was smart
and I am his number one fan!
Maybe this one's the charm.
wish me luck Jim*

Infinite Elation
Two grown women
and lots of playground equipment.
Never did I think we would
one day fit that description.
Sun, some sand, sticky sugar coating our hands;
I really felt like I was a kid again.
We made castles in the sand,
fed some seagulls a couple of french fries by hand
and you even got a local band to play
our song.
I was honestly so happy all day long.
You even taught me how to make a pinwheel
except this time I didn't cheat and use hot glue.
We walked around town for a bit,
took in the sights, the sounds.
Then we went...

Hope
Lately I've been so low
Like I've been in an eternal limbo
So morose
Talking to my own Shadow
But I guess I never had much Hope
About what the future may hold
I thought I lost it all; my humanity,
My soul,
To the devil I thought I sold
But now I know
That there's a God who saw it all, saw me lying on the floor
In an abyss, battered to the core
I thought I was too far gone to be saved anymore
Sucked into a black hole,
thinking if I could just take an extra dose
I'll drift away to a better place and all the pain would go ...

Always; Forever
Warm summer breeze
Clouds drift by
White against blue
Stirring autumn trees
Guiding me gently
Back to our home
Towards only you
Nature's planned destiny
My forever
My always
My friend
My true North
...For my husband
Clouds drift by
White against blue
Stirring autumn trees
Guiding me gently
Back to our home
Towards only you
Nature's planned destiny
My forever
My always
My friend
My true North

Afterglow
I... cried today.
For the first time,
after two years and fifty seven days,
I finally accepted the fact that it was okay;
okay to let tears spill from my eyes and run down my face.
Although, I don't understand why
or even know what made me cry,
the way your eyes
looked down on me
with such sympathy
made my heart skip a beat.
Last night I felt so unsure about everything.
Today was different, though.
When we touched,
there was no barrier in between;
no hidden meaning yet to been seen,
no exterior or image to keep.

I rented a room @Dup.com
So I rented a room last week @Dup.com
Did you know it comes with free poetry
a view and free coffee?
My first night at the Inn I ventured
downstairs, hey? Did anyone know
Madame Lavender opened a Bar & Grill on Dup?
I also hear, the Doc, gives free
medical advice too :|
she's such a good ole gal "D
Anyway, a few regulars were scattered about
some were having drinks while others
were dancing enjoying the cool menthol...
