As he stepped back into the middle of the cage everyone gasped at the spectacle he just performed for them at the snap of their fingers. With blood still splattered across their surprised faces they cheer for more. Bashed and bloodied the victim tries to crawl away helplessly. Reluctantly he grabbed him by his shattered knee and smashed him down upon the cement floor hard, releasing blood and one final hopeless cry for help.
As the victim’s body lay there nameless and lifeless, he can’t help but regret his actions. What if he had a family as he does...

A Night for Dinner
A Night for Dinner
As he watched her fall down the stairs he wished for her to be okay. Thankfully there was a break in the stairs at which her momentum stopped. As he ran down to her taking the stairs two at a time, they both knew there was no escape now, not now. There is no way she could run after that fall. No now he had her, and he would kill her, slowly and brutally too. She wished the fall would’ve killed her that would’ve been quick. The last thing she saw was him barreling down the stairs with that vile look in his eye and that ominous smirk on his face. Almost like he...

Cold
PROMPT: A knock on the door/She breathed in a deep cold breath. The air crystallized in her chest...
She was in her room, reading Jane Eyre with the Arctic Monkeys playing softly in the background when suddenly, there was a knock on her door. She began to panic as she was all alone in the house and it was already late at night. She sat, frozen on her bed as she listened to any sound to give her a clue on who is knocking. It could not be her parents; they called her a while ago and said that they will not be home for three days. Another knock sounded on her door, this time louder. She...

Date Night
I walk down the street with my head held high. My heart skips a beat and my feet seem to not even touch the ground. I arrive at her door and flatten my vest and long sleeved shirt. I take a deep breath before knocking. She answers the door and I'm stunned at her beauty. Her jeans and t-shirt although simple accent her marvelously. I hold my elbow out so she can lock her arm with mine in an old fashioned way. "My lady." We start on our way to watch the sunset. Its beauty; magenta, violet, and amber, can't even compare to her. When the crest of the sun dips below...

Heart's first capture
Storybooks, regardless of genre, always held a mystical power over my imagination with their twists, turns and mostly unpredictable endings. I would sometimes read the short descriptive storylines on the back cover and take the story into another direction within the dimensions of my own mind. It was easy to say that our class’ weekly trip to the small, jammed-packed library was second best to recess, well to a bookworm at least.
My love for detective mysteries and “true” stories of haunted houses and locations may have been the starting point of my giddiness and restlessness in the...

Ruptured Duck Flight 1.5
(This was a Delta flight from New York to Tallahassee FL. with a stop at Atlanta Ga. . From New York to Atlanta, NO PROBLEM, From Atlanta to Tallahassee, well, here's the Story.) Note: The absurdity of this narrative exemplifies the absurdity of this TRUE experience.
Ruptured Duck: flight 1.5
Captain to the co pilot:
I can't find my sun glasses.
Co pilot to the captain:
You wearing em man.
Captain :
Oh yea, Oh yea, I see em now.
Captain to the co pilot :
Remind me one more time man, uh, where we going again?
Co pilot back to the captain:...

The Loving Game
She never really knew when it all started. She had always believed that nothing would come between them and that they accepted each other’s faults and little idiosyncrasies well.
When she noticed the difference, it was way too late to do anything. They had always given each other space, for quiet thoughts during the three years relationship that they had.
Living together in a small house, entailed them to be at each other’s face all the time. So at times she would go out for a walk alone in the evening. Or he would go for a short drive on his own during the weekend....

DuMb dUmB..
The King’s hireling knight mentioned one night
to the Jester that sat aimlessly playing at the foot of the King’s thrown..
..’for one who knows so many wise tales
you seem to me dumber than a pouch of rocks
I know the King requires.. but your want seems to match in desire
to wear such colorful getups and long ludicrous sox..
Do you not care for such wisdom you know and spew
through all your silly tales?..
to think if you were not dumb but the wiser
you could be counsel in high court to thy faithful Sire..

The blinding light doesn't bother me I’ve been doing this for too long, but I know it must bother him. I know from my own experience that the closer I get the more the pain intensifies. His face twists into a knot, his muscles tense and he cries out in pain.
As I get closer I feel the words slip out of my mouth as if they aren’t mine, because they aren’t!” Follow me darling everything will be over soon!” I say the words but it’s not my voice but a woman's and I realize that he must perceive me as a woman, perhaps his wife?
Again from my own...
