Melanie Solone is an Amateur poet who was inspired to write poetry after taking an English course and hearing a few of her professors poems real aloud in class, she was instantly inspired to attempt to write her first poem, she has not stopped writing since then, she discovered a natural god given talent that she was not aware she had. Being recently diagnosed with Border Line Personality disorder, her poetry is her therapy, it gives her a much needed outlet to express her true deep, dark emotions and feelings that can’t be expressed any other way. Melanie lives in a small town in long island she is currently studying psychology and working on putting her manuscript together; she has plans on self-publishing a book of her poetry in the near future, she wants her poetry to inspire others to write, she hopes her poems helps other people suffering from mental illness feel joy and know that they are not alone, she wants them to write so they can express themselves and not feel trapped with their emotions.
