Please fight to clear my eyes
This darkness has the best of me
I'm trapped within it's lies
I've hungered for something better
I've begged for something more
I'm clinging to the tether
That keeps my feet upon the floor
I've made so many mistakes
Countless tears have fallen down
So many burning bridges in my wake
So many heartaches all around
In my soul is a dying ember
And in that ember is a name
That moniker brings light to darkness
And my soul will never be the same
