Poet Introduction
Well, I'm not really a poet to be honest. I'm more of a lyricist :) You're more likely to find me writing songs than literature...I do love poetry though :)

There's a lot I've got to say, but let me just start by saying... hi 
I'm a 16-year old singer/songwriter from the UK. I've been writing songs for about 4 years now, but it's only recently that I've begun to get pretty good at it (in my opinion, anyway). I also play the piano and I'm learning the guitar right now, so I like to incorporate that into my writing as well. Normally, I tend to write about whatever is going on in life (either my own, which is normally the case, or whatever is going on with friends, in the world, etc.). The important thing to me when writing music is complete freedom and honesty. If I try to hold back from doing something that seems like it should naturally be there, I tend to end up with something really empty and crappy! xD
I like several different genres, mainly those which involve proper, organic instruments, but my main passion would have to be for rock music (particularly hard rock). My favorites bands/artists include Evanescence, Halestorm, Nirvana, Projected Twin...too many to list here
I've been searching just about everywhere for a site where I can share my lyrics, and hopefully this site has been fortunate enough for me to decide to crash here. I'll happily browse the site and rate/comment on other people's work, so I'm also hoping some of you will return the favor and take even just a minute to check out some of my work and provide some sort of feedback. It would just mean the world to me <3
I'm also open to any possible collaborations that other members might want to do (if you can do that on here). I like to write the occasional poem, story or essay so if you need some help with anything, I'll see what I can do
