Dear Heart,
    You deserve my sincerest apologies. I was supposed to protect you and I have failed to keep you safe. I'm ashamed of myself and my mistakes. I don't want to make excuses for my negligence but you have to admit that you gave me mixed signals. Every time he would come around you fluttered. He'd touch me and you'd skip a beat, sometimes making me lose my breath. He really got you pumped up! I even tried to have my mind talk some sense into you. I should've known you wouldn't listen, the two of you never agree on anything. I'm just sorry for not doing more. I know you're hurting, you just don't thump like you used to. I'm trying my hardest to piece you back together but you're so damn stubborn. Please just tell me what I can do so you can let him go. Get better soon, I miss you.
