Adam's Aggravation

Got this pain in my back

Halfway down the spine
off to the right

It's like a rib of hurt

Been two weeks now

Got acupuncture

Got massage

Got chiropractic
adjustment

Seems gone for a
few hours,
half a day, after each treatment

Then it is...ahem...back


Just now,
as I was attempting to
excrete the illness
(and reading Bukowski)
a thought occurred:

The problem is not
of me

I am simply a symptom

It is the World
that is out
of joint
