The Day of Her Burial

They wash her lifeless body
Brush her plastic, brown hair
Shave her long, limp legs
Her nails painted red
They place her in a short silver dress
Strappy heels on her feet
The bestfriend necklace I gave her
Hangs loosely around her pulseless neck
Encased in a mahogany coffin
Laying peacefully on white lining

But if you look close enough
You can notice the scar on her temple
Where she placed the gun
Pulled the trigger

Dead

Gone from the world
Lost from me
Now I am searching
For someone

Who is no longer here
