Black Swans

Sorrow such sweet sorrow
Will surely find my heart
On the eve of tomorrow

I sit here and wait
In a daze of borrowed time
For love and anyone will sadly do

All are faceless
All are nameless
Lost and so shameless

Fueled by their innocence
Their beauty blameless
Why haven’t I a fucking clue?

They are my black swans
Who never believed in love
Tattered and scorned by the muse

Seeing right through me
They play their parts
A cheap tirade within my movie

They bury their claws
Into my soft flesh
The whore of Babylon I am known best

With them no love is lost
No ties to sever
By the souls knife

Seduced by my beauty
Their tongue loose, how clever
As they are touched by the spider
