Shocking Revelation

my life is far from over
yet i feel it slipping away
im to numb to hold in tigher
to numb to think it through
im pushing and enduring it all for what?
for my chance to be someone?
for my chance at a batter life?
my light is growing dimmer,
soon i will be dark
almost just an empty shell to a lifeless corpse
just my mind enveloped in itself
pain can help me hang on
but it wont make me forget
when i think now, my mind is all but blank
my life is already over
i let go, i slipped away
numb unil the very end.
