Shooting Star

Somewhere near is someone far,
Looking for a shooting star.
Staring out at people strange,
Not knowing that they're all the same.
She wants to find that happiness,
She once felt inside a kiss.
But with Her Heart and Soul She's blind,
And only failed attempts She'll find.
Somewhere near She's far away,
Looking for some better day,
Blind to whats before Her eyes,
Seeing only a disguise.
In her eyes is such a woe,
Sad thing is, She'll never know:
How much Her smile means to one,
Or how it shines just like the Sun;
How just a kiss or gentle touch,
Could mean, to Me, so very much.
She wants the happiness She seeks,
And I Could help Her find those peaks.
But like The Wild Wind She blows,
Comes my way, and then She goes.
Somewhere near is someone far,
I looked and found my shooting star.
But what good are stars with such dim light,
Unable to shine, unwilling to fight?
Still, that shooting star is mine,
I know She'll find Her shine in time.
Somewhere near She's far away,
Waiting for the world to change.
She really tries, I know it's true,
To be the one I hold on to.
But as it goes, it's never long,
Always ends up with Her gone.
But still, something pulled Me this far,
All signs say She's my Shooting Star.
So I wish for Her, evermore,
To find those smiles I adore.
And if no smile can be found,
She has but to turn around.
I'll be right there to take Her 'way,
When nothing feels like it's okay.
I'll be Her Star, for She is mine,
My Shooting Star, My Loss Of Time.
