The Great Transgression

She’s in the woods, she’s in the woods,
They came and took her, the men in black hoods.
Oh how she jumped and kicked and moaned,
She wailed so wildly and eventually groaned.
She tore with her nails, she bit with her teeth,
She finally saw the knife in its sheath.
After miles and miles of unfaltering cries,
She soon realized she would meet her demise.
As they walked further under darkening sky,
She had no tears of which to woefully dry.
Bruised and cut she helplessly pleaded,
To a pasture they came, the trees receded.
Her young body tested and placid,
They finished the job and poured the acid.
