Ashen Moonlight

Ashen Moonlight

Dear ashen Moonlight,
Will you heed my cry tonight?
Will you reside here shining bright?
It’s just you and I now.

My sweet ashen moonlight,
He said goodbye to me tonight,
Despite the promise that I held tight,
I presume I can let go now.

Please Ashen Moonlight,
Take me back to the night,
Wrapped in his arms, he held me tight,
That is just a memory now.

Hear me ashen moonlight,
All along they had been right,
One day he’ll give up the fight,
And break my heart somehow.

I’m so sorry ashen moonlight
I told them that I’d be alright,
I’m holding on with all my might...
Can I please give in now?

Take my tears please ashen moonlight,
I bestow them to you for his delight,
Conceivably, I may salvage my sight,
The insincerity is over now.

Baby, you were my world. I wish you didnt say goodbye.
you were and always will be everything to me.
even if you have forgotten.

More than the stars Nik. x
