You Were Right

Whoever told me dreams never came true,  
they were wrong and right.
 
I was a fool for grasping too tight,    
and when i let you go,
you were out of sight.
 
Whoever told me two wrongs make a right,  
it was both false and true.
 
I lingered like a idiot,
I wanted you to want me like
I did to you.
 
Whoever told me I was stupid for dreaming,
they told me nothing is like a fairy tale
