Her Embrace

Lost in an endless dream,
My mind breaks away from time,
As it flows seemingly forever,
When only a few moments pass by.
 
My eyes deceive me becoming lost,
In the endless pools of beauty,
That ring in striated patterns,
Creating her delicate, young eyes.
 
In her gaze, my heart skips a beat,
The rhythmic pattern of it's pumping,
Interrupted and enthused by her touch,
Her smile fueling it's quickening pulse.
 
My nerves begin to stand on end,
As space and time begin to fade away,
All that is left standing around me,
Is me and her touch and sight.
 
My tongue becomes locked and tied,
Unable to speak my heart or mind,
Yet she smiles and giggles at me,
Amused at my love-struck plight.
 
I reach out to hold her hand,
But I shake and my palms sweat,
Then she reaches out and holds them,
Still smiling at me, gazing at me.
 
I manage to smile as time starts to race,
Every emotion starts flashing and spinning,
My mind begins to spin out of control,
My skin starts sweating, my heart races fast.
 
Then all of a sudden, she leans into me,
Her soft lips meet mine and time stops dead,
Everything melts around me, my heart slows down,
And I become lost in her passionate kiss.
 
Then she breaks it off and I'm left stunned,
Amazed and enthralled by her very presence,
Then, before I can even say a single word,
She whispers in my ear what I was about to say.
 
I love you.
