Monday-ist

You journey through a long, fearless adventure known as the week. Everone experiences it, but you're a hero. You work hard, diligently. And what's waiting for you, what could you possibly look forward to?

Monday is waiting for you at the end of this "Week Tunnel". You hope for light, but too bad,

It's Monday.

Monday waits, giving you a sly smile that makes you shake in your boots, waiting for you with open arms and a knife in it's back pocket. Not this Monday, Monday! Oh, you think you've got Monday all figured out this week.  

There Monday is, encouraging you to smile and embrace a new beginning. That's not what it actually wants. Monday's is obviously smarter than that.

But you know, you know Mondays are the worst. Their optimism, constructive possibilities, and new beginnings could ruin a nation of hopefuls.

Monday commences, a new week, a new chapter. You painfully reconstruct your week schedule. You start a diet, you start a book, you start a new life.  But all your hopes and dreams are just scattered and lost by Friday.

Oh yea, Monday, you're real helpful there. But you only realize this on Friday, while Monday is long gone with your happiness.

Then the glorious weekend arrives. Oh, the possibilities that could unfold and enlighten you! The weekend becomes your bright, hopeful star in a sad, sick, Monday polluted world.

Do you embrace the weekend? Of course not! You spend your weekend in complete terror, knowing that Monday is on the way, coming to devour your helpless little soul.

Fe! Fi! Fo! Fum!

Just take a deep, yoga breath and accept it:

The world is going to end on a Monday.
