The Hourglass
(Written as an example for my palindromic poetry contest)

precisely used by many seafarers in the twilight years of yore
its metaphorical wings have been a fleeting symbol
for human existence in the golden days of old
as the sands of time will slowly run out
for every passing day of our lives
so are the days I remember
building sand castles
just you and me

Originally I published this as "Infinite Loop" but a college professor told me that although it was in palindromic form visually, it wasn't technically. So I revised it and came out with this one.
Thank you, Magdalena...I guess only a few of us here in DUP are experimenting on different forms of poetry. Well, this is DUP but once in a while it's good to get out of the usual erotic and dark genre. I'm glad a few others are trying...
