Beyond earth

In the sky
He watches you and I
From a far
No matter where we are

His eyes are always there
Watching with diligence, love and care
Yet we sin all the time
Everyday doing a crime

As we slowly fall from grace
With no remorse on our face
Not a tear in our eye
To chase our selfish thoughts we try

I pray almost every night
God knows I have not always done right
Asking for forgiveness is hard to do
No matter if you are happy or blue

If you ask you will receive
He is not one to deceive
Be true from the heart
Being honest and genuine is a start

Thanking God for life, peace and love
For all the abilities and skills given from above
Pray for friends and family
He listens patiently and gracefully
