Dreamscape Landfill

Sound surrounds
It echoes throughout
My own lil dreamscape
Landfill.

It drowns the empty space.

Ashes lay gently
Covering fractured wishes.

The sky bleeds
Wind screams
I dance upon abstract
Thoughts
And visions.

Tears collect creating
Puddles ..

Purples
 
Blues
 
Mixed paints

Of misplaced emotions
As I recall every memory.


I had this dream once
Of blackbirds
And angels
I kissed the moon
Softly singing, and
It smiled sapphire
Radiantly.

Words came out silent
And the ocean flooded
My perfect little
Bubble.

Earth cracked beneath me
And when I
Reached for the sun
My hands burned..

Holding on just long
Enough for the air
To carry the scent
Of blistering palms.

I had a vision once
I spun in circles
Within a wildflower
Field.

I blew out the stars
And yelled his name.

Collapsing into
The marsh
Of mismatched identities.

Knees soiled
Earth
Wet
And cold.

I laid
Crumpled
Before the storm
Swallowed me.
