Lonely Melody
Whispers of dawn
Blushes the eastern sky
Soft blow gentle zephyr
Caressing the leaves
Rustles the reed upon the bank
Of the silent lake
I wake to the melody
Of nature
Sparrows and larks
They flit by
Singing warbles only they understand
Beauty abound
But I see nobody
I am not with anybody
So much beauty
But it's so lonely.
Blushes the eastern sky
Soft blow gentle zephyr
Caressing the leaves
Rustles the reed upon the bank
Of the silent lake
I wake to the melody
Of nature
Sparrows and larks
They flit by
Singing warbles only they understand
Beauty abound
But I see nobody
I am not with anybody
So much beauty
But it's so lonely.

Kitty said it, your voice has always echo with so many. This is no exception, I've been there, still there ... stay strong my friend.
Lovely sad poem.
Lovely sad poem.

This poem you wrote, Grace, touches me deeper than you know. It reminds me of the poems you wrote me those times. I still cherish them! :)
The way you feel in this poem of yours here, I feel this way as well, Grace. All the time of late, it seems. I look outside at the colorless winter snow, at my frozen gardens, and it all looks so bleak. So lonely. It reminds me of my own lonelienss sometimes, and often I think of yours and how hard it must be for you to bear. I wish it were springtime and summer, and the gardens bringing forth their life with their beautiful flowers and the soft chirping of the songbirds... and I recall that poem you wrote me about us walking in those gardens together. I often wish we could, dear soul. How funny life can be... that you and I are separated by such monumental distances, and yet we both feel so lonely and long for something better. But never give in to despair, dearest Grace! And I too shall remain strong. We both have so much to give, even in a world that takes so much from so many. I will keep praying for you, and sending you the warm compassion of my spirit. It may be small comfort, but I give it with all my heart. May it bring you warmth, if it can.
Love and Light to you, gentle poetess. May our tears fade with the coming spring sun. :)
