Not that you had a previous one or anything...I'm just sayin (lol)
You’re so tiny and you have my best features
Seeing your first flurry of seconds of life
Coming into your second world was one of my best pleasures
And measures miles past anything I've ever experienced in terms of value
Me and Mommy aren’t together anymore but that means not that we all cant
Ever spend time and be together as a family with no outside strings
And she was right...
So far you are the
Best gift she’s ever given to me
We have so many smiles to come and miles to go
And as each and every one of them pass...I'll be right behind you...

Secondly...I must apologize to you
For my emotionally impulsed blindness...
At the moment I'm too ashamed to
Explain what that pertains to
But I will say that you have gone from someone who has instilled fear
Above, to the left of, to the right of and below me
To someone who is the root of my intrepidity...
I apologize for my selfishness
And giving Mommy exactly what she DIDN'T need
When she was carrying you
I don't think I had ever focused on the 2 of you as much as I needed to
When I needed to
The arguments were a wicked thing
With stress and sadness quickening
I put harm to you before you even came
The thought alone is SICKENING...
For my doubts and skeptics of days to come after you arrive
And for all the stress you received through the fault of me...
I apologize...
