Passion
I would risk my life and walk through fire,
to quench this thirst,
for a taste, of you I so desire.
The barrenness left when you depart,
leaves me wanting more and more
of your mind, body and heart.
There is no more exquisite pain,
than this yearning for your caresses
that drives me insane.
My dreams have become pools of lascivious need,
of outrageously wanton fantasies
that riot to be fulfilled and climactically freed.
To the world I turn a stoic and quiet façade,
but at night this ferocious, passionate and intense desire
awakens to castigate me time and again.

The hunger hear reminds of the emotion woven into many Lindsey Buckingham songs, "Bleed to Love Her, Go Insane, etc".
"To the world I turn a stoic and quiet façade,
but at night this ferocious, passionate and intense desire
awakens to castigate me time and again."
Very memorable ending!

Thank you Jack for the observations I appreciate the pointers. Yes, passions implicate much more than lust or desires they can also be destructive emotions like hate, hurt and revenge you have interpreted perfectly the nuance.
