Her Honey Vine

Honesty has always been her truth
No lies, no games, no disbeliefs
Then she came across and impossible mix
Causing her to begin the untruths

The lies began to slowly spill
The way honey slowly drizzles out its jar
The guilt began to slither in
Crawling up her spine like wildly grown ivy

The ivy began to suffocate
The thickness from the honey weighing it down
Disappearing and drowning themselves
Her lies were to protect her love

This drowning of suffocation, a love she never knew
A love to her she couldn’t understand
The weight of deceits and fabrications
Coaxing down her only foundation

Her foundation of beliefs, honesty you see
The dishonesties came to the surface
Honey dried and was peeled off by discovery
The discoverer whom will never forgive her

The ivy grows wildly now, with its leaves clipped off
Suffocation with little fear has to remain lingering
The ruins of drowning in love have caused a pleasant anguish
The lies of hidden words, falsehoods falling letter by letter

Honesty is pure, honesty is authentic, and happiness endures
Lies, disbeliefs are malicious; they lead to destruction of the soul
Her wild ivy remains in love with a heavy impenetrable honey coating
The drowning into another world together she welcomes

The outside world does not understand, lies and truths together
Good has come from him drowning her, sinking to another world
The truths have freed her, knowing no more lies are to be heard
New growth of leaves display on her ivy vine
Opened ivy , glazed lightly with honey
