PITY PARTY/TEA PARTY

Oh won’t you join me for another cup of tea?
My cup of self-sulking and misery?
I have always heard that misery loves company, So won’t you join me?
Oh just this once?
Please?!
We could share our sad stores and use our misery as our very own crutch!
We can sing the song of sadness; I will share it with you,
I have heard it now for all of my life, the same one I listen to in my bedroom as my parents argue, fuss and fight.
And the story of my sister so long and in the distance; She never realized what all she once had, the only thing she knows now is that there is something missing…
Oh won’t you come and join me dear?
Come and join me for my own little pity party, come! Come!
We could even make it a competition; Look down at the cup of tea you are holding before you, whose life has been the emptiest?
Now rise up your sleeves; Let’s see who has the most scars….
So won’t you join me for another cup of tea dear?
Or do they miss you at home?
Just is it that you rush off to?
After all you cannot fool me for; I can tell that you are alone.
You are just like I once was and the way that I still am; you’re all alone in this little old world and you just know that you don’t have a chance.
So stay a while; come and spend some time with me.
For we both know very well that whenever it comes to loneliness…. Fear is indeed our cup of tea.
