Fallen Gods
Alive, with the feeling of needing you
Like the air in my lungs
When I recieve the news,
the last gods of the techno-nuclear era have fallen.
Stoned with you as close as my own skin, I dont know why it is
that it matters to me,
only the taste of your sweat
Now a memory of long ago nights of amphetamine fueled passion
A decade or more until I see you striding thru the Gates of Eden
All creation in awe at your feet
You remind me of a song I heard once
Not the lyrics, but the feeling of lying entwined with you, alive
Your sweat, sweet on my lips
Like the taste of yesterdays lost
A decade or more since you carved your name on my very bones
And here you are striding thru the Gates o Eden,
Perfect as always
Like the air in my lungs
When I recieve the news,
the last gods of the techno-nuclear era have fallen.
Stoned with you as close as my own skin, I dont know why it is
that it matters to me,
only the taste of your sweat
Now a memory of long ago nights of amphetamine fueled passion
A decade or more until I see you striding thru the Gates of Eden
All creation in awe at your feet
You remind me of a song I heard once
Not the lyrics, but the feeling of lying entwined with you, alive
Your sweat, sweet on my lips
Like the taste of yesterdays lost
A decade or more since you carved your name on my very bones
And here you are striding thru the Gates o Eden,
Perfect as always
