Where's Love?

"Love rules everything", I'm loveless and my heart is vacant. I use to be so upbeat on love, but those times are ancient. They say love will find you kid, just be patient. It feels like a lifetime, how long must I keep waiting. I just want to have what everyone else has, I'm losing patience. Racing up and down to find love, I'm chasing pavement. I see the dirtiest of people grasping something sacred. Now I'm infused with hatred. Some people just aren't meant to have it, let's face it. Now I see the beauty of love drained. Good people losing loved ones and none gained. Now gone all you see are the leftovers like blood stains. So many people walking around ashed out, where's the love flame?
"Love conquers all", but I feel I'm running on hate. Things happen for a reason, maybe this is just my fate. This space in my heart is getting colder everyday. The loneliness becoming unbarable, how much more can I take. God pulls miracles, so I keep my heart on the bible. I'm battling against love like it's my arch rival, and now I understand why people pick up those rifles, a broken heart could make an angel fucking suicidal. I've tried walking until my fucking feet are swollen, searching for love at the bottom of the ocean, but I'm not getting anywhere, man it's hopeless. I guess I'll just sit and wait for my grand moment, for the beautiful girl with cupid's love potion. Her eyes will put my heart through the motions. With just one kiss, I know she'll get my heart open.
