Killer Instinct
She’s afraid
Afraid to love
Afraid to hurt
Afraid of her past
Afraid
Afraid of herself
Of what she can do
Of what she’s capable of
Of her lightning fast reflexes
Her enhanced vision
Her heightened senses
She’s afraid to be herself
To let the monster out
She’s knows she’s different
She doesn’t know why
She slaughters
Slaughters innocent people
She hates herself for it
Yet there’s something there
Something about the feeling of taking lives into her own hands
She holds their very being in her hands
She decides
How, when, where
It’s the feeling of being in control
A feeling she wasn’t used to
Was it the screams of pure terror?
Or the feeling of the cool metallic blood dripping down her body
Whatever it was, it created a rush
It triggered something inside of her
Something dark
In her eyes it was a game
Either kill, or be killed
Afraid to love
Afraid to hurt
Afraid of her past
Afraid
Afraid of herself
Of what she can do
Of what she’s capable of
Of her lightning fast reflexes
Her enhanced vision
Her heightened senses
She’s afraid to be herself
To let the monster out
She’s knows she’s different
She doesn’t know why
She slaughters
Slaughters innocent people
She hates herself for it
Yet there’s something there
Something about the feeling of taking lives into her own hands
She holds their very being in her hands
She decides
How, when, where
It’s the feeling of being in control
A feeling she wasn’t used to
Was it the screams of pure terror?
Or the feeling of the cool metallic blood dripping down her body
Whatever it was, it created a rush
It triggered something inside of her
Something dark
In her eyes it was a game
Either kill, or be killed
