Almost the End

Scorching hot flames
fume around me.
They dance,
like a broken ballerina,
who has lost her rhythm.

I walk forward slowly,
to my uncontrollable end.
Each step,
my heart races faster,
like a cheetah.

There is a knife,
requisitioning for my crimson liquid.
This is my final moment,
this is my end,
my spirit will suffer endless torture.

I grip the ticket tighter,
the one way ticket to Hell.
My hand is shaking,
like an anorexic girl
on a cold day.

My pure white angel wings,
fade to a sable black.
I am prepared,
for the Devil's
forever tribulation.

The blade presses,
against my cool skin.
I press harder,
but didn't make the final motion,
not yet.

A hand was placed,
on my shoulder.
It startled me,
my head turn's around slowly,
to see my savior.

The boy who saved me,
from my end.
His eyes filled with pain,
filled with hurt,
as he shook his head.

"Please don't do this"
he pleaded for my life.
More angels showed up,
but all I could see was him,
and his eyes full of distress.

I remove the knife from my neck,
I threw it on the ground.
My head lowers,
a single tear,
runs down my face.

I fall to the ground,
my entire soul full of pain.
He sits next to me,
his arm aground me,
sitting in silence.
