The step to the house was slick and oily
He fell breaking his head open only
out spilled his thoughts of the evening
Catching the plane ride it leaving
The other thoughts well
Some just crawled around
Submissive and low to the ground
Some jumped up in the trees grabbing at stars
The ones near his clutches didn't get very far
Certain ones screamed at the horror they saw
Other ones yelled others from afar
"Cmon come all dig this y'all"
Grabbin up instruments and using music to call
"Hello they said our soul is to be free"
" ride along talk and tell us you see"
"Why thine thoughts are haunting me"
One group said they aren't haunting
Their stalking
Trying to smother the thee
Some said...I don't care I'm listening to the leaves
Hear em crunch and rolling
as spin drift aloft then down?
Those thoughts are crazy said a group wearing brown
Some had points of light shining to a pathway
They seemed to have the right train
But they couldn't covince the castaways
Those nomads definitly were not sane
They just wandered around and comeback again
There was the little ones
They bring little memories
There was the big ones
They supposedly carry goals in their backpacks
They need to meet up with the ones with points of light
Some said I'm cold I need to go back inside
One group said I'm not its fuckin hot
A very small band said
its perfect warmth around the heart
Lets all gather there
Then there was a pair
They stood round transfixed by shiny objects
The final few said Shew we're through
You guys have fun our day is done
The man got up from the step
Wandering in a circle
Up the stairs down the stairs
Didn't matter where or when
He was
Not a care
Not a thought about it
