How Light She Strolled Along

How light she strolled along, blithe and so serene beside the road.
Completely undisturbed by unseemly speeding cars she strode.
Her feet were bare, without a care she went unstintingly,
Through broken glass and prickly grass, she trod unflinchingly.
Thinking thoughts of private sorts, proceeding silently,
She didn't talk at all but walked entirely privately.
We reached a beach and then we each discarded our attire.
For lunch we fed on ham and bread, which I had purchased prior.
The sky was blue, of azure hue, likewise the ocean too.
The waves rolled in and made a din, as waves are wont to do.
She sat on rocks and calmly watched the ocean's raging water,
And was untroubled as it bubbled, foaming all before her.
We journeyed back along a track the way that we had came,
Then homeward bound without a sound we travelled on a train.
