A pictures worth nothing

Fell in love with a picture  
words displayed on a screen  
all half-truths  
those truths even made him neglect everything he had at home  
that body that kept him warm every nite  
who listened to his complaints  
put up with every want  
his needs  
bore his children  
the kids he pacifies now  
with tv and anything he can buy them  
they take time away from his picture  
 
even fucking wasn't enough  
he wanted the words  
the lies that were told    
and no one could measure up  
so he used his hands as he read her words  
 
 
A tease is all she was  
lonely housewife  
with no teeth and ten cats  
two kids and a husband that loved her  
but neglected her wants and needs  
 
Her husband was just like the man in the picture  
displayed on her screen
