My Love of Snow
A poem about snow
A poem about snow
So typical, so stereotypical
Of any poet,
I'm writing a poem
About snow.
It's white. And cold.
And some shit about how
Every snowflake is unique
Like the human race.
Something else about making
Snow angels with my lovey-dovey
Sappy-sweet snow
Angel. Something about the
Sparkles on the ground
And how I'm twirling around
And how much I... love snow.
I'm no Grinch, but I
Hate (HATE!!!) snow.
It's freezing cold and melts
Into your boots and it takes
Forever to shovel off your
Car when you're just trying
To get to work in the morning.
So, I'm just going to let someone
Else write a happy poem
About snow. Because, the truth
Is, if they love snow as much
As they say they do, they
Probably don't have to deal
With it three months out of twelve.
Snow fucking sucks. The end.

its snowed like crazy here last night I drove home from work in it made it all the way home just to get stuck in front of my own house :)
and I got soaked trying to shovel myself out...
but even with all that crap I still love the snow :)

It is said that the joy of seeing snow fall declines in inverse proportion to the age of the beholder. I think that's true of those having to deal with effects on necessary travel to work etc, slipperiness of pavements (sidewalks in US) and disruption to shopping.
