Nightmare Warrior

I'm a Nightmare Warrior clown freak
protecting those that I love from the Unseen
I got battle scars from the Dream Time Wastelands
just so those I love and care for can be free

I'm always on the lookout for those things that don't belong here
the long dark shadows that move from house to house
bringing their death speak whispers to their ears
I try my best to send them back to their hellhouse

I'm not insane, I'm not crazy, this is just me keeping it real
The nightmare deviants out to do their dirty work
and I won't ever let them win because this is what I'm meant to do
I let the beast within out, beat 'em back to hell all with a smirk

Every night, when I lay my head down and try to sleep
I'm ever diligent, always on the lookout to those up above
as I jump around from dream to dream, fighting invisble wars
I will always fight for my Meadowlark, she is my light, she is my love

You wonder why I don't sleep much at nights
it is because of this, fighing evil in my own way
I soak up their pain and their shame so they don't have to
... so that they can live and love another new day

even though she will never know the battles I've fought for her
even though she will never know all the battles I've won for her
