For so long...

When you look at me what you see? A pretty black girl with slanted eyes a round ass and thick thighs someone who appears to have it all togehter sassy and eduacated but having no idea of the storms I've weathered never taken for what I'm worth always giving my all to only end up hurt always feeling like a failure because no matter what I do its never good enough battered and weakend wounded and scarred but for those around me i pretend like I'm tough like every heart break doesn't effect my self esteem like I'm not afraid of nightmares coming true instead of my dreams When I look at me i see the liitle girl I never had the chance to be I stare in disbelief at the reflection that stares back at me wondering what it is that I have done so wrong to suffer so much for so long... �

I can definitely understand where you're coming from. " no matter what I do its never good enough" I tend to feel that way all the time. Expectations are always rising and even if you meet them then new ones will be born. It feels like a never ending cycle. "what it is that I have done so wrong to suffer so much for so long" I've asked this question countless times but have given because I'll never get a sure answer and I'm simply torturing myself each time I ask it. I like your poem. It's straight forward and to the point.
