Spiral

Here I lay, emotionally sick
I try to breathe, but the air seems thick
A fight of freedom to seek and discover
Maybe to find what I hide undercover

Bang goes the coffin nails, trapped
This is how I feel, I think I done snapped
Why do I toy with the sensitive strings of life?
I flick each one to hear the sound just to cut it with a knife

Like a stranger to myself, I don't know who I am anymore
Just don't step to close to me, you will fall through my trapped door
Like everyone has done to me, I will work to lift you up just enough to let you fall
If I feel the slightest bit attacked, I nuke back and I'm sorry for it all..

See this disaster getting ready to derail?
I see it in my eyes, in my face and I am starting to turn pale
Seems there's a note nailed to my head that says, "Left to die" and everyone follows it
Where most people would have gave up, I will never quit

Its always the darkest just before the dawn, so stay awake with me
Someday this will be over but I still won't be completely free
The memories of what I once was has stained my soul
I will always have permanent cuts and bruises from climbing out  of this hole

Like a broken statue, I will always have a missing piece
I will keep searching until I find that release
As you see, you can't transform anything without a little pain
Just like a spiral, continuing it's strain
