Noah's Brother

Such a cruel world around us
makes it hard for me to believe
That a loving God would create us
and leave us here without a purpose
Except toy with us and laugh at us
have His fun destroying us

The angels cower in fear before Him
and don't dare to intervene for us
They hear our pleading cries of mercy
but turn a deaf ear to our suffering
Noah is the only one who has faith
and he tell us to do has he does

Yet many of us are tired of paying homage
to a cruel and twisted creator
We no longer hold the same belief we did
and no longer want to see what awaits
Our road keeps getting harder and harder
but we still have to thank God for life

Noah has told me God will flood the world
if we do not change our sinful ways
I was stupified that God could become blind
to His own sadistic littlee games
He pleaded me to help him convince the rest
as a younger brother I had a duty to him

I looked at him with worn out eyes
that have seen too much sorrow
"No brother I will not help your God"
he stared at me in dibelief
"Why are you so foolish little brother"
and walked away to built his boat

The day came and he took me aside from God's view
and whispered too low for God's ear
"Come with me before God notices I took you"
as he slowly pushed me towards the entrance
But I stopped him and went to back to the people outside
and firmly planted my feet on the ground

"I will never understand your rash ways little brother"
he said as he slowly walked to his creation
The door closed on all us "sinners" as we watched
the horizon slowly turning blue
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in vain
opening them again I saw Death approaching
