Ardent Romance
Our passions burn hot enough to singe.
I long for the flames to lick my skin.
For your heat to send sparks through me.
Your warmth draws me in,
a glowing ember ever present in my heart.
Thoughts of the fire consume me.
Visions of the blaze dancing before my eyes.
A tender fusion of bodies and souls.
Creation's kiss igniting the deepest of desires,
Leaving us afterwards scorched and satisfied
and thirsty for the flames.

To personify elements can be a tricky thing and in my opinion far too many people try and come up short. You write with so much of your soul that you do the element of fire justice. As previous commentors have stated, I also felt the fire, very literally a warm, exciting, beautiful sensation in my heart.
