Such is life

Our lives are so elastic, one day we're convinced we can't go on. Convinced that life can't possibly continue without that star we seemed to orbit around, yet today here we stand. And slowly but surely we come to realise, inspiration dawning like a sunrise behind our eyes that..... Hold on..... The world is is still here, in the morning there's still sunshine, and by night there's still a few shining stars. For a short while our universe was diminished, and maybe the summer sun didn't feel as warm, but through it all our lives didn't lose meaning, they just had to shift their focus. Life's edges, once so seemingly vast, raw and endless, now close in comfortingly like a blanket, tucked up close around us. Life will always change and we will always change with it, anything that convinces us otherwise is a state of mind, nothing but a temporary state of existence, but thankfully it was just a bump in the road of life. I hope this doesn't make any sense to you, but to those it speaks to, just know it won't always be this way. Even if its just for a short time, it will get better. Just enough for us to go on.
