My Princess
She wasn't locked away in a tower;
From a beast she did not cower;
There she stands as tall as me
Side by side, together free.
Equal and fierce as fire
We choose to fight
Our foes fall beneath us and into the pyre
The battle rages on into the night.
Whosoever stands in our way
Will soon disappear in the fray
My princess and I, strong warriors,
United and breaking down the barriers
Which divide us from "normalcy"
There is, in us, no uncertainty
She and I, with feelings for each so tender,
No matter that we are the same gender.
From a beast she did not cower;
There she stands as tall as me
Side by side, together free.
Equal and fierce as fire
We choose to fight
Our foes fall beneath us and into the pyre
The battle rages on into the night.
Whosoever stands in our way
Will soon disappear in the fray
My princess and I, strong warriors,
United and breaking down the barriers
Which divide us from "normalcy"
There is, in us, no uncertainty
She and I, with feelings for each so tender,
No matter that we are the same gender.
