Sh.
“No! Stop making noise!” With her back pressed heavily against the old wooden door she squeezed her eyes shut. “Just shut up!”
The crying though;
That awful crying wouldn’t stop.
“Why won’t you just admit it!
“Admit you’re ugly!” She screamed as her eyes flew open, and her fist slammed against the wood. “Admit how pitiful you are, and I’ll let you out!” Her voice was raw from crying as she slipped down against the door. Her fist was bruised, and her palm was littered with splinters. Eventually she sat up and stumbled around her room. Her bloodied hands fell upon her vanity.
“How did you get out?” Her voice was filled with a haunted breathiness as she stared into the mirror.
“Don’t you understand? The world is my Utopia.” The voice from the closet sang. “Everything is perfect.”
The voice went on, despite her screams. “You are perfect, she is perfect, I am perfect.”
“NO!” Now she was convulsing on the floor. “You are hideous! You don’t even deserve to be in the sunlight!”
“Don’t lie, sister… you and I are the same.”
