BEFORE I SLEEP

Before i sleep and rest to wake
to my father god i pray.
If i die before i wake
then every breath he shall take.
if come death before i sleep
i put my burdens at his feet.
deliver me from the evil eye
on this day i pray and cry.
leave temptation in my sky
leave me angels were i lye
he has one begotten son
my praise to him can weight a tune
i want to live eternal life
away from trouble,away from strife
