Redeeming the Fallen

Awaken, mourn not the parting breeze;
Journey, mourn not the shadow of the cave.
Obscured in shrouds of water
The Sun may yet touch the heart, caress the soul;
Tenderly in unison the clouds did part,
To herein dance round the fire.

Yielding shades of wintry glade,
The hour of the chosen;
Empty wishes without a name,
Childless bearing in time’s sealed fate.

Can you hear the call of rain;
Shed the tear of torn embrace?

Will you follow the lofty winds;
Shed the fallow heart?

Asleep in timeless agony,
Apart in seams of wind;
Awakened minds of unity,
Divided in blackened seas.

Can you take the cold and dead,
Lift a blotted eye to heaven?

Will you leave the fallen leaves,
Dropped beneath the oak;
Can you see the steady stone,
With wood you cast the yoke;
The oxen yea a mighty steed,
The beast of burden, encumbered slave.

Can you feel the falling rain,
The tear drop’s tender kiss;
The lapping of the fateful breeze,
The fallen wish they miss;
And yea the tempest breached the dawn,
The tide’s eternal touch;
Embraced as one the fallen did,
And birthed the stars as one.

The cup is poured on fallow hearts
To empty slave-less ox;
Ripened glory, Spring’s return
To set eternal night;
Of light thrice shed and shred of time.

Fire and water,
Frost and flame;
Desire and damnation
Betwixt in pain.

Wind and earth,
Timeless mirth;
Colloquial agony
Entwined in birth.
