FUTURE
It doesn't matter what you say.
A year has gone by anyway.
I was patient as best I could.
I hoped by now you'd have understood.
You should have told her to let go-
last year, last month, last week, but no.
You use the children as a cause-
her child as the one yours lost.
It festers inside, more so today
The anger I have to hide away.
You realize after that what you do is wrong
but it doesn't stop you from going along.
I'm lucky for someone to help me think
I don't know how much I can take
When the future holds the worry near
I'll have to run away from here
A year has gone by anyway.
