Brandy
Whilst I have been sober
almost a year,
I have and insatiable craving
for Brandy.
Occupying my mind intensely,
the constant craving
cannot be eradicated;
nor do I wish it to be.
I long for the sweetness
as the moisture
touches my lips.
The release of stress
as precious liquid
touches my tongue;
in hopes that the experience
never concludes.
I obsess about
the warmth,
the euphoria,
the freedom.
I dream of waking late,
realizing I have
a lifetime supply.
Author's Note: This very metapohic poem was written for someone very precious to me. I love you baby.
