The Blue Lotus

Spare me the crown of sympathy,
your charm is cursed.
Your words leave me entangled,
caught in the spoils of warfare.
Blood red lips, that call to me,
leaving my flesh a wreck,
leaving my soul trapped in sinful lust,
You are the blue lotus....

Beauty in awe,
dripping with poison.
You are the snow in my hand,
love's intolerable pain that never leaves.

Deeper down where it all begins,
I know that you are the one,
the one that I should not love.
I have dashed my heart time and time,
against the bleeding rocks,
crying and weeping to the gods,
so cruel are they,
that turn their backs in haste.

To the blind eye, you are one of beauty's daughters.
Silently dancing to the blood, wine, and roses.
I have been awakened,
drowning in your river,
drifting along in fog of the fever sea.
I am just another lost creature within your lake  of ghosts.

You are the dark,
the abomination of many tales.
I have been stripped, raped, and tortured,
by your deceiving disease.

The tears bleed red,
my skin has been severed,
as you land the whip,
lash upon lash.
I feel so numb, so full of disgrace,
from the astounding pain.
You have stolen my heart,
so quickly the blood drips blue.
Vulnerably in your hands, it beats.
Leaving my eyes in terror,
as your razor'd nails knead in and out with evil desires.

Fuck your crown of sympathy!
You drew me in, to destroy every ounce of my being.
Kissing me with your erotic literature,
from under your wings,
into your arms,
straight into a black heart romance.

For you I would have did anything.
You took charge and made me your slave.
I could have shown you light at the end of the world.
Instead you wanted me to suffer a cruel taste of winter.

I have become the bloody earth,
and you are the shameful heaven.
'Till death do us part,
you will gather me up forever.
Let loose the swans,
cast me out to catch feathers,
now watch as I shatter.

Release the songless bird,
to lead me to your scarlet garden.
So that under the velvet morning,
I can receive the kiss to remember......
