The center of earth
What dwells upon the seas of molten core?
A billowing bubbling molten shore.
Darkened save for molten light,
Heated far beyond your sight.
In darkest depths and deepest shores.
Lies the creaming molten core.
Some say evil souls there dwell.
Some say that it is a place of hell.
A place of torment, a place of hate,
of gnashing teeth of eternal fate.
We'll never truly ever know, unless there in our soul does go.
And so tonight as you lay to bed, know that within the earth is screaming dread.
. . . sleep well

strange vibes result from mixing the term molten core with the idea of hell. I could picture demons and lost souls screaming deeply beneath me as I lie in bed.

i hardly comment on any poems here, not often do I find anything I can relate to. you did a good job here, good imagery, choice of words, well put together, and great rhyming. I'd like to see how you'd go about keeping to a particular metric foot, it's harder, true, check out a poem of mine, unfortunately english isn't my first language, but you can see in there what I mean. good work, nonetheless! waiting to read more
