Implications
Author's note: I feel compelled to state that I never condone rape. A woman should be able to wear anything she wants without a guy thinking the clothes give him a license to violate her. This is more about my warped mind. Rest assured that even if I am thinking it, I am the last person to ACT out on my twisted meanings without consent.
In my little world there are meanings
for the wardrobe of a lady
But in case you get confused
no my name is not Slim Shady
Let's start with the shoes some women take so to heart
Hundreds they may have
even some with whom
They will never part
Now flats are safe in general
but a raised arch grabs the eye
Has me so thinking
what heaven is between those thighs?
The color also factors
darker or drab not quite the thing
A bright yellow, red or pink
like a bell that lust does sing
Now as for the color black
a tough one to attach meaning
Could just be for business
an executive with a powerful teaming
That area of the anatomy my biggest weakness
for you see with the legs quite easy in my book
stockings, pantyhose, or such leggings
always make me want to look
For just having hosiery on
sparks my desire oh so much
Even with an un noteable figure
triggers a longing to touch
Seamed stockings, runs, tears or fishnets
oh yes what do I see
That lass is ripe and ready
for a hot seductive plea
Now some may talk about the length of the dress
but more is to be said
Because a slit can also be revealing
in wanting her in my bed
So too is the fit
tight or more relaxed
Can the lines of undergarments be detected
femininity to the max
Who can not look at the booty
not only what is worn
But the way that it bounces

But the biggest suggestion
is the eyes or the look

Actually your review wasn't that confusing. I didn't mention the context. For example, if you are my principal and you wear a black dress, pearls, and pumps to the school, you aren't getting much of a reaction from me. Change that to a nightclub or diner, and not being my boss, and you get a different response.
As for cleavage, well that will be noticed anyway, which is why I usually go for eye contact. One advantage of being a "leg guy" is it is easier to look without being obvious. (could just be looking at something on the ground, etc.)
I also think the sexiest thing a woman can wear is a smile, but again, that is just me.

oh...that was clever bro. looking down without being obvious...the thing is I can look at a woman's eyes and boobs simultaneously (LOL) without being noticed.

I found this poem interesting because it is from a man's point of view. It seems a lot of men hold a similar viewpoint and are always ready to visually assess a woman's desirability, which is why I dress so as to avert as much of that as possible. You would not like the way I dress judging from your description in this poem. I keep things neutral, earthy and covered up, plus for the most part I only wear cotton. The ladies are still checking me out -- certain ones that is, and men that are able to see through to my soul. As for the rest of the men, god bless em, most of them are so yiksey, one can be glad if their attention goes elsewhere. he he he :)

As I said in a prior comment, the place is important too. For example if you are in a club, it may not matter what you are wearing if there is a facial recognition or an exchange of smiles.
If I am teaching, a woman could be wearing the skimpiest outfit and I am reacting the same---actually in an education environment I would probably have a negative impression. (not so much if college but big time at high school or below)

I applaud your honesty... much needed because qwe as women need a birds eye view on how men see us at times.....I myself am a long sundress wearing
sistah with locks then sometimes I wear tight jeans and heels then other times I wear leggins and thigh high boots with a bustier1 so it just depends but regardless of what I weart I ALWAYS get respect! because no matter the clothing

I think there is a difference between crazy and lewd. Guys can come up with very corny lines but they aren't necessarily offensive.
Really for me the first thing I look for is a wedding ring. If I see one of those it doesn't matter what outfit is on.

I LOVE the whole imagery in this... but perhaps it is because I have always been most attracted to a person's eyes and have also been told that my eyes are my best festure.

As a rape survivor (read my poem "I Still Remember")as well as a feminist, I am usually on high alert for such buried messages but did not see that at all in this piece. Yes, many women do dress to gain or avoid the male gaze. Personally, I do the same, depending on the man/men and the situations in question.

Mostly because I would hear frat guys talking about girls they knew "wanted it" because of what they were wearing. I was quite shocked for I have always felt that even the not revealing outfit isn't a excuse for sex without consent. What I was trying to say is that all men probably can think of something they find sexier compared to other outfits on a member of the opposite sex. I think the same goes for women.
