Insomnia

 12 Midnight
The wailing engines grow quiet
As ghostly creatures sing loudly
The city welcomes home, the night
With weary limps resting proudly
While I stealthily trail sunlight
Already gone by moonlight

1A.M
Faint noises from afar rise and fall
They die before the faded day
As dumb shadows climb the walls
To view a still city snoring away
But in my watch, thoughts grow so tall
To unveil memories I barely recall

2 A.M
Silent winds travel across lands
To cuddle the shades with zephyr
As dews hasten to kiss the sands
My ears make out the howl and whir
Slowly, the ashen clouds move in bands

3A.M
The blanket of awe is on full attire
To rule the horizon amid few stars
Aiding the embers fast growing tired
While I wriggle in my sleepless bars
Aware of the nightly as they retire

4 A.M
A sudden pierce of the tranquility
A crow, a howl, a chirp and a bark
The chilly breath of salinity
Aerates the mist to trigger sparks
Of reactions within my vicinity

5 A.M
A blue ray sends the dawn's signal
The dampened earth nudged the sky
To begin the metamorphosis of the eternal
With a surge of newness that tickles the eye
The sight of cloudy garment wholly enthralls

6 A.M
A new day enters with the morning sun
In her pristine essence with feathery rays
To nourish the old and the newly born
Worn beauty she restores from grays
Refreshing my soul from my sleepless thorn
