Hey, are you still awake?
Do you feel the bed shake,
Listen to that roar of silence
Let's form us an alliance,
In whispers we'll communicate
With shushing's we'll enunciate,
We'll lie here every night
In the dark away from any light,
And whisper until the dawn
(Even though my head is gone),
It soothes the soul to converse
(I rode along in that hearse),
You'll regale me with stories
And tell me of past glory's,
We'll become closer with time
Our whispers are what bind,
Then you'll hear me shuffle away
To return at the end of the day,
Yes we'll do this every night
We'll hide here until first light,
In the dark, in your warm bed
