Lost Dreamer

No one ever tells you  
What it's like    
To not fulfil  
Your dreams  
   
Put yourself out there  
And then be crushed  
By people you respect  
   
When you see it happen to others  
You try and picture it  
How they must feel  
To be  
All out of hope  
   
Well, when you realize  
That its not gona happen  
That you're stuck to either  
Give up  
Accept that it wasn't mean to be  
Try and convince yourself    
To let it go  
What you've been working towards  
   
Or you can pick yourself up  
And heal the cuts and bruises  
And some how find the guts  
The strength    
To try again  
Knowing what it's like to fall  
   
Its hard to help others    
Understand, the feeling  
To fall that hard  
But to me......  
   
To hear the news  
Is like  
Everything inside you  
All your insides  
Are Ripped out  
Of your body cavity  
And you're left empty  
Hallow  
With nothing but your tears  
To comfort you  
No emotion  
But sorrow filled tears  
Streaming down your face  
Spilling down on your goals  
That weren't achieved  
Your face not catching up    
With what has happened  
Your left with a confused face  
That matches your hallow feelings  
   
Nothing can really prepare you  
For it, ...  
The hopelessness  
Some never bounce back  
However there are some  
With steel in their eyes  
That never give up  
   
But until you decide who you are  
You are    
A Lost Dreamer
